Business Opportunities
The MCTI Units associated with NIT Rio (CBPF, CETEM, IBICT, IMPA, INT, LNCC, MAST and ON) can provide scientific and technical knowledge and innovative solutions for your company.
Business opportunities can take place along 4 axes:
Technology transfer
Technology transfer arrangements are a fundamental instrument for Company-Researcher partnerships. See the options:
Technology supply
Knowledge and techniques that cannot be protected by patents can be transferred through technology supply agreements between the company and the Research Unit.
Technology licensing
Licensing involves the exploitation of products or services protected by intellectual property – patents, for example – and works like a rental, in which ownership does not change. A period of use by the company is agreed upon under conditions previously established by contract.
Art. 6, Law No. 10,973/2004Assignment
In an assignment, the technology holder permanently transfers ownership of the intellectual property right to the company, as in a sale or, in some cases, a donation.
Art. 13, Decree No. 9,283/2018
Specialized technical services for innovation
Your company can benefit from specialized technical services provided on cutting-edge infrastructure by intellectual capital made up of researchers, technologists and technicians from the Research Units associated with NIT Rio, under art. 8 of Law No. 10,973/2004.
