As Unidades de Pesquisa vinculadas ao Arranjo NIT Rio, por exemplo, estudam a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da biomassa com a finalidade de gerar combust\u00edveis para a avia\u00e7\u00e3o, uma forma de gerar energia de forma sustent\u00e1vel. Outro exemplo, o INT e o CETEM desenvolveram, atrav\u00e9s de rochas ornamentais e estruturas polim\u00e9ricas, um piso capaz de gerar energia conforme as pessoas caminham, mais uma forma inovadora para a gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia. Nossas unidades tamb\u00e9m contam com PD&amp;I que v\u00e3o desde a caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o de regi\u00f5es que apresentam combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis, atrav\u00e9s de simula\u00e7\u00f5es computacionais, m\u00e9todos potenciais de prospec\u00e7\u00e3o ao aproveitamento de subst\u00e2ncias de descarte para a gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia.
