As Unidades de Pesquisa vinculadas ao Arranjo NIT Rio possuem laborat\u00f3rios e profissionais capacitados para desenvolver tecnologia em s\u00edntese e caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o de nanomateriais, que possuem aplicabilidade em cosm\u00e9ticos, tratamento de doen\u00e7as, nanotoxicologia, dentre outras. Um exemplo de pesquisa promissora que vem sendo desenvolvida no CBPF diz respeito ao uso de nanopart\u00edculas magn\u00e9ticas para o tratamento de c\u00e2ncer. <br \/>Outro exemplo \u00e9 a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de nanopart\u00edculas para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de suplementos alimentares e regenera\u00e7\u00e3o de tecidos \u00f3sseos, diminuindo os \u00edndices de rejei\u00e7\u00e3o do corpo aos implantes de tit\u00e2nio, por exemplo, al\u00e9m de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de nanopart\u00edculas na ind\u00fastria de eletr\u00f4nicos.
